Zoning Commission Membership Provisions

Since GW’s Lerner Health and Wellness Center opened, the terms of the building’s use have been determined by conditions set by the Zoning Commission (formerly the Board of Zoning Adjustment) in response to community concerns that the facility does not create excessive traffic by attracting students who are not otherwise already taking classes on the Foggy Bottom campus.  As such, GW undergraduate, graduate, law, medical and doctoral students who are enrolled in a degree-seeking program housed on the Foggy Bottom are eligible to participate in the programming and activities offered by Lerner Health and Wellness. The provision also includes all undergraduate students who are living in the residence halls on both Foggy Bottom and Mount Vernon Campuses. Students who are enrolled in online degree programs and students who are enrolled in programs housed at the Virginia Science and Technology Campus and the Arlington and Alexandria Graduate Education Centers are not eligible to utilize the services offered by Lerner Health and Wellness.
