Lerner Health and Wellness Center

health and wellness building

GW’s Lerner Health and Wellness Center is temporarily closed from May 16 until mid-fall 2022 in order to perform extensive HVAC work throughout the building. During this time interior spaces will undergo a refresh and reorientation.

Located at 23rd & G Streets, the 189,000 square foot Lerner Health and Wellness Center (LHWC) is available to Faculty, Staff, Students, Alumni and Community Affiliates. LHWC features a 10,000 sq. foot fitness center with a variety of cardio and strength training equipment, featuring an expansive bank of flat panel TVs. Our upper levels include two large gymnasia with a suspended track and four courts for drop-in recreation and scheduled events including basketball, volleyball, badminton, and Intramural Sports. A large multipurpose room for group fitness, dance, and sport conditioning is located on the 2nd level. On the lower levels, there is a three-lane lap pool, two racquetball courts, one multipurpose court, a Massage Therapy space, full locker rooms, and an equipment rental desk.
