Kayla Savage

Kayla is currently a third year undergraduate student at GW’s Elliott School of International Affairs, majoring in International Affairs with a concentration in International Development and a Spanish minor. She is very involved on campus, and is in leadership in both the International Affairs Society and her Professional Foreign Service Sorority, Delta Phi Epsilon. Yoga is her saving grace, having started the practice after a sports injury her freshman year of high school. By her junior year of high school she was so in love with the mental and physical benefits of yoga that she decided to share it with others and complete her 200 hour RYT training at Bodhi Yoga in Austin, Texas. She was trained in the Baptiste Power Vinyasa yoga methodology, and also teaches yin and gentle yoga. She is committed to providing accessible classes to yogis of all levels and helping her students connect the body and mind through breath as a way of cultivating mindfulness. Now that she has been teaching for a few years, Kayla is hoping to continue her yoga education with 500 hr RYT certification in the future.
